The Class

Updated Info March 20th, 2020…. Currently this class is reformatted for individual online 30 minute consultations. The below information is based on our original business plan but still gives you a sense of everything we have to offer! When you sign up for the class, we will email you our course materials and schedule our (6) 45 minute sessions. Typically sessions are scheduled once a week and scheduled between 1 to 6 PM PST. All you need is a good internet connection, ability to run Zoom software either on laptop or mobile device, and the ability to print course materials. If you are using a mobile device, I recommend being able to prop it or use a tripod so you have the ability to be hands free.

LA Teen Workshop is the ONLY on camera commercial workshop just for students ages 12 to 17! It is an ideal, small group class where teens can learn the basics of commercial auditioning in an encouraging supportive environment.  $250/6 weeks. We’ll cover:   

  • Who’s behind the scenes

  • What’s important when breaking down commercial copy

  • What to wear

  • Etiquette & demeanor

  • Dealing with audition nerves

  • Speaking to camera

  • Improvising where appropriate

  • Reactions

and lots more! After the six week session, students can download their performances to keep and will receive a personal evaluation.

Classes are ZOOM ONLY until further notice. They were originally held Wednesday & Thursday evenings from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at 5th Street Studios in Santa Monica.
